While some kids grew up playing kickball and jump rope, others found ways to separate themselves from the pack.  By the age of 10 Susan had already run her first 10k and placed 1st at State in the 400 meter run, and 2nd in the 800 meter run at The Junior Olympics.  In 7th grade she received the Paul Powderly Award for outstanding achievement in track and dramatic arts.  S…
