While some kids grew up playing kickball and jump rope, others found ways to separate themselves from the pack. By the age of 10 Susan had already run her first 10k and placed 1st at State in the 400 meter run, and 2nd in the 800 meter run at The Junior Olympics. In 7th grade she received the Paul Powderly Award for outstanding achievement in track and dramatic arts. Susan also maintained the record at her Junior High School for the fastest mile for more than ten years. Developing a love for competition early, Susan competed in several sports including track, soccer, volleyball, basketball, cross country and swim team.
At the age of 40 Susan decided to enter her first figure competition. After placing 1st at Lackland she followed up that victory with a 4th place win at the Ronnie Coleman Classic. She is currently gearing up to compete at NPC Jr Nationals in the Women's Masters Physique Division.
After being so involved in fitness at an early age, it was an easy transition when Susan made the decision to turn her passion into a career. She first started her journey with group fitness and loved the feeling of leading a class, but soon realized she also wanted to have a more intimate relationship with her clients through personal training. Today Susan is taking those two elements and using them to lead the most challenging and rewarding boot camp in the metroplex. She is helping people change their attitude about themselves and their fitness by teaching them to break through tough mental barriers that stand between themselves and their goals.
